This small volume contains all papers and discussions given at the First Symposium of the Ophthalmic Microsurgery Study Group in August 1966 at Tubingen, Germany.
The types of operating microscopes available, their suspension, and the mechanics of operating are presented in some detail. Since there has been little significant change in two years, the report is currently useful.
Suture material, instrumentation, and technique are similarly presented and equally valuable.
Those beginning ophthalmic microsurgery would do well to review this book.
