16th Congress of the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology. —The 16th Congresso Brasileiro de Oftalmologia will be held at Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, on Sept 4 to 7, 1971. Two official themes will be discussed: Pathology of the Macula, Relator: Afonso Ligório de Medeiros; and Cryotherapy in Ophthalmology, Relator: Hilton Rocha and collaborators. For further information, write the Executive Secretary, Instituto Penido Burnier, Rua Dr. Mascarenhas, 249—Caixa Postal 284—Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil.

Ophthalmological Congress. —The Fifth Panhellenic Ophthalmological Congress will take place at Rhodes, Greece, May 28 to 30, 1971. The main subject is Modern Aspects of the Vascular Diseases of the Retina.
