King Faisal International Prize Awarded.
—The King Faisal International Prize in the field of medicine was presented to Professor Barrie R. Jones of Moorfields Eye Hospital, Institute of Ophthalmology, London, at a ceremony in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in March 1987. The award consisted of a gold medal and an honorarium of $95 000. The award honored Dr Jones' work in the prevention of blindness.
