AB To the Editor. 
    —In the March issue of the Archives (81:442-445, 1969), I noted an article entitled, "Spontaneously Regressed Probable Retinoblastoma" by Melvin L. Rubin and Herbert E. Kaufman. Since the case reported lacks a family history of retinoblastoma as well as ocular examination prior to the finding of the alleged retinoblastoma which had spontaneously regressed, I can hardly see how the authors are justified in using the word "probable." At best I can understand how they might use the word "possible" in their description of this fundus lesion which might represent the residual of a previous trauma, an unrecognized inflammatory disorder, or a congenital disorder. I do not think it wise to categorically pick out retinoblastoma as the basis of this fundus picture with so little evidence to back up the claim.Since this problem seems to be of importance, I intend to publish photographs of a
