RT Journal A1 Mondino BJ, Brown SI, Rabin BS T1 HLa antigens in ocular cicatricial pemphigoid JF Archives of Ophthalmology JO Archives of Ophthalmology YR 1979 FD March 1 VO 97 IS 3 SP 479 OP 479 DO 10.1001/archopht.1979.01020010229007 UL http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/archopht.1979.01020010229007 AB • HLA antigen frequencies were studied in 45 patients with ocular cicatricial pemphigoid. HLA-B12 was found to have an increased frequency of 44.4% in patients with ocular cicatricial pemphigoid, which was statistically significant when compared with a frequency of 19.6% in the control population (P < .001 or P < .031 when corrected for the number of antigens tested). The results of this study suggest that there is an immunogenetic susceptibility to the development of ocular cicatricial pemphigoid.
