AB To the Editor. 
    —I would like to compliment Freedman and Rubin1 on their fine work that appeared in the October 1991 issue of the Archives. The authors mentioned that in five patients in whom a Tenon's cyst developed, the cysts were partially excised and the eyes received daily injections of fluorouracil (0.5 to 1 mg) for 14 days.The Fluorouracil Filtering Surgery Study2 involved 5-mg injections administered twice daily for 7 days followed by a daily injection of 5 mg for 7 days (maximum dose, 105 mg). This resulted in a success rate of 73%. Eyes with successful results had an intraocular pressure of 21 mm Hg or lower at 1-year follow-up. Other researchers (A. L. Grajewski, MD, S. M. Cristol, MD, M. M. Wright, MD, and R. K. Parrish, MD, unpublished data, October 1991) noted that a reduced dose of 50 mg of fluorouracil over 14 days
